Sneak Peak

Here are the first of many new projects I hope to be working on! Hope you enjoy :)

Oversized Tote/Diaper Bag
This bag has one large pocket on the outside & 4 pockets on the inside

Oversized Tote/Diaper Bag
with handy side pockets for stuffing bottles, diapers, etc...

and, introducting....
mini clutches!

these are the same basic design as my larger clutches, but
on a smaller scale, and each has a cute little wristlet!

On a similar note, I have also started to make my large clutches with a small shoulder strap to make them easier to carry around. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of any of them--but they are super cute!

let me know what you think ;)

mmmm....

I used to love those little heart candies. Mainly the white ones though. The green ones were just flat out disgusting.

Thats about all that used to really excite me about Valentine's Day---getting at least 10 boxes of little sweethearts from friends & family---it really didn't get any better than that. I have never really been a hopeless romantic, and was even dubbed the "Ice Princess" by my dad throughout high school and college for the stone cold heart I seemed to have when it came to romance.

But then Ben came around, and swept me off my feet with his hopelessly romantic ways. He has been good for this cold, unromantic heart. The past two years, he has always done such a great job of being extremely thoughtful and romantic when it comes to doing special things for me. I love him.

This year, he surprised me with a trip to our friend's beach condo out on Pensacola Beach. Although the weather was not exactly pristine for sunbathing, we had a wonderful time exploring different parts of the Florida panhandle this past weekend.

It was a fun time to just be together and enjoy each other's company in a different environment than normal. We watched the Olympics together, ate some wonderful meals, drank good coffee, explored Ft. Pickens and Destin, and even made out pretty well at an estate sale we stumbled upon. I even got Ben to eat sushi with me AND on an even more surprising note, he actually enjoyed it.

A very successful Valentine's day weekend, indeed.

Ben's 24th Birthday in Pictures

We had a great time celebrating Ben's birthday this year---and successfully stretched it out into a two day affair!

Festivities began with a trip to Buffalo Wild Wings, one of Ben's favorite restaurants. Its my love language to him to eat things with him on his birthday that I would normally never eat ;).

I even went all out and accidentally ordered something deep fried. In my defense, the menu said they were crispy tortillas, not deep fried and battered. But anyway, I digress.

The next day, on his actual birthday we did the following, in no particular order:

Ate food with friends from small group, who put together a little birthday bash for Ben,

Made Ben wear funny hats, and sang happy birthday to him to make him feel extra uncomfortable & awkward on his birthday,

Made his favorite dessert: dirt cake,

opened lots of sweet cards from friends & family,

opened presents from the wifey,

ate at least three different birthday cakes,

hung out with cute little first graders,
and received lots of beautiful cards & drawings from the little munchkins.

All in all I think it was just about as good as a 24th birthday could be. :)

beautiful.

Ben and I are trying our hand at having an indoor potted plant, after an unsuccessful run at having outdoor potted plants.

I love orchids, and this is one that my mom found at Costco for just $15. Gotta love discount superstores.

Anyway, I can't get enough of this plant---sooo pretty :) It reminds me that spring is on its way!

Happy Birthday Ben

I love you and am so thankful to the Lord that He saw fit for us to be together.

You are a faithful husband and friend; you are my best friend.

You refine me and you challenge me. You make me laugh almost constantly.

Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have you as my husband.

Wishing you the a very happy birthday, and a 24th year of life filled with the riches of the Lord.

Love,

your wifey :)
