Let me tell you a little bit about my favorite CD detergent brand...
As a cloth diapering mama, the detergent I use for my baby's little bums is highly important. One, I don't want to use anything that will be too harsh on their little hineys and two, I want it to protect my investment! Cloth diapers aren't cheap & I am doing my best to make the ones I have last as long as I can. I think a huge part of that is using quality detergent.
Ruby Moon specifically crafted their detergent for cloth diapers. It is gentle on my little ones' skin (both have very sensitive skin & easily break out into rashes) and it keeps my diapers super clean! I can count on one hand the amount of times I have stripped my diapers! Many people strip their diapers about once a month. With Ruby Moon I have only stripped my diapers 3 times in the past two years & two of those times were to get rid of a yeast bacteria from an infection that E had.
Ruby Moon's detergent comes in a small(ish) package, but lasts so much longer than you'd think! In two years of laundering diapers every 2-3 days, I have only used 2 bags of detergent with my HE washing machine (I am close to finishing up my third now!).
Their detergents also smell AMAZING. Lavender is my personal favorite, but their monthly special scents are also really fun! Currently, they have a Chai Tea scent that sounds divine!

I've only used rockin green but now I'm curious about ruby moon :)
I am new to the CD world as we are expecting our first little in the next few weeks so I haven't tried anything else yet, but I am excited to give Ruby Moon a try!
I have been looking to the bumgenius and thristies covers with green mountain workhorses as well as some prefolds and flats. Excited to try some different brands/systems also!
I've been using Rockin' Green, but I'm not sure it's my favorite as yet.
And, I use Bumgenius for the most part, though I scored a Seams Geeky diaper that is AMAZING, and if I had lots of money and lots of time I would buy so many more of them!

I like flip diapers with velcro
The cloth detergent we use is BabyGanics concentrated. Comes with a pump and it's one pump per load. I love not having to measure it.
We use plain pre-folds with a snappy and thirsties one-size covers.
